6th Annual Christmas in July Toy Drive

Sophia was a perfectly healthy 4 year old girl until the day she began to fight against a rare neurological disorder.  She, along with her parents, spent 2 full months living at CHM while she battled for her life. During this difficult time, Sophia’s day was truly brightened each time a volunteer or Child Life Specialist dropped off a donated toy, craft, or blanket.  Please help Sophia and her family pay it forward by donating to her “Christmas in July” event on July 25th at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. 100% of all of the toys received will go to the approximately 400 children at the hospital.

 

Due to rising costs of goods, The Children’s Hospital of Michigan has reported that donations are down again and are excited to have Sophia’s Rainbow support again this year. We have already purchased and sorted hundreds of toys and crafts; however we need your help in order to not only provide every child with a present, but to also fill up the ‘toy closets’ to help the Child Life Team provide a little bit of joy to the children for the rest of the year!

 

An Amazon Wish List has been created with very specific toy ideas and quantities in order to ensure that there are enough similar age appropriate gifts for all of the children. Thru the wish list (below), you can send the toys directly to our staging area in Troy, MI.
